Loam & Ledge is a small studio-led shop of independent designers, working materials, and slow objects — things that earn their place in a kitchen, a reading nook, the corner of a hallway. A curated selection that ships reliably and arrives the way it left us, with no guesswork in between.
What we promise
A short, seasonal list drawn from independent designers — not a warehouse of every piece that ships. We commission a tight set of objects each season, then narrow it down together. Most pieces do not make the cut, and that is the work.
Most orders leave the studio within two business days, packed in recyclable materials, with a printable return label included. We ship from a small network of partner studios so the pieces reach you quickly and arrive the way they left us.
Considered objects, handpicked finishes, and honest pricing. No was/now theatre, no flash sales, no "photograph-only" pieces. The promise is the opposite of the largest shop on the internet: fewer pieces, chosen with care, easy to live with.
Materials & craft
Every piece in the shop is selected by working designers — only objects we would keep in our own homes. We favour natural fibres, solid woods, brass, stone, and recycled metals over anything that exists only to photograph well. The piece should age into its room, not wear out of it.
We commission a short list each season from independent designers we trust. Two seasons in we are still the same — a small team, a tight set of pieces, and a list we will not pad. The rest we do not carry.
Linen, oak, ash, brass, recycled metals, matte stone, terracotta, charcoal. We finish each piece by hand where it matters. Every object passes a careful QA before it ships — no cosmetic exceptions, no "photograph-only" inventory.
